During the week in which we celebrate World Environment Day, you have the opportunity to visit the exhibition “For a night with more life”, in the Machico Forum Entrance Hall. This exhibition will be visible until June 21st.
This initiative aims to raise awareness about the impacts caused by light pollution on human health and the ecosystem. The goal is to increase knowledge about the actions developed by SPEA, through the LIFE Natura@night Project, which has the support of its partners, including Machico City Council.
It was a very special end of the day for around 50 participants, ranging from children to adults. They went home with a deepened understanding of the effects of light pollution on nocturnal biodiversity. We would like to thank them for their participation and support for SPEA’s work.
