The exhibition “Noite com Vida” (Night with Life), created as part of the LIFE Natura@Night project, will open on October 31 at 5:30 p.m. at the Santa Maria Museum – Núcleo de Vila do Porto.

This exhibition is the result of a partnership between SPEA and the Carlos Machado Museum, inviting the public to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of nocturnal biodiversity, raising awareness of the effects of light pollution on ecosystems and nocturnal fauna, and calling for good practices, inviting everyone to be part of the solution.

The exhibition will be open to the public until February 28, 2026, and can be visited during the usual opening hours of the Santa Maria Museum.

After passing through São Miguel and Pico, this is now the third time that “Noite com Vida” has been presented in the Azores, having attracted a very significant number of visitors in its previous editions.

With appealing visual content, the exhibition is suitable for schools, families, and curious individuals seeking to better understand the impact of artificial light on nature and the role of each person in building “a night with more life.”
