Seabirds are visiting us during their breeding season and are more susceptible to glare from light pollution. Juveniles, when they leave the nest, are particularly vulnerable. When they become disoriented due to excessive artificial night lights, they end up crashing into buildings, streetlights and even cars, often getting injured and sometimes causing their death. Although these birds are resistant, they have difficulty flying up and need help.

 

Do your part and save a seabird. If you find a disoriented bird, contact your local wildlife rescue center:
